when I woke up this morning I thought, "today is the day we go to joe's for breakfast."
there's nothing quite like a hearty, complete breakfast to keep me full all day,
and, wow, I do love that feeling. we arrived at the cafe in the late morning
and by that time we were preeeetty hungry so our choices seemed clear:
^^steak, eggs over easy, and grits. it just felt like I should do this, you know?
I've never actually had grits before today and realized that I've been missing
out on something so good for so long. thank goodness we rectified that.
^^ phil had the massive abc omelet: avocado, bacon, cheese.
^^ our restaurant fam-elfie.
^^ waiting is so hard when you're a hungry, post-nap baby.
this is the pre-meal eye glaze.

^^ we said hey to joe on the way out. does that man knows how to cook
or what! and, the whole restaurant just had this homey feeling about it -- like
you could mosey on in a say, "I'll have my usual."

  1. Rhett has been to Joe's, but I'll have to try it someone! I was first introduced to grits when I married Rhett. His Mom is from the south and he grew up on all the southern food like okra, black-eyed peas, lima beans and ham and of course grits! What a fun relaxing morning!
